Olatein is a joint venture between DSM and Avril dedicated to the sustainable production and product development of food protein from rapeseed; CanolaPRO™.

Rapeseed is originally used for extraction of vegetable oil. Olatein has made it possible to isolate a high-quality, healthy, good-tasting protein from rapeseed in addition to oil. CanolaPRO™ meets the growing demand for vegetable protein. Olatein is working closely with DSM's Proteins of the Future (POFU) team to develop a portfolio of vegetable and alternative proteins.
